Air Fryer by Cozyna Review

Airfryers are wonderful innovation to the world of cooking. They let you fry, grill, bake, and roast, depending on the model, all this with a tablespoon or less of oil. Some foodstuffs are quite greasy in and of themselves, like chicken, so you won’t have to use any oil and let them baste in their own juices circulated by the hot air stream.

Although deep fryers may take less time to make your meal, they have to drown it in oil, saturating it with calories and trans-fats that are as much a danger to your shirts as your arteries. We took a fine representative of this domain, the Cozyna Air Fryer, out for a little spin, check out the full review below.

Air Fryer by Cozyna Review
  • Cooking basket capacity
  • Temperature control
  • Versatility
  • Safety & build quality
  • Additional perks

When all is said and well done (or just medium rare, if you’ll pardon the pathetic attempt at a pun), the Air Fryer by Cozyna is one of the better bangs for the buck on the market. 10/10, would buy.

Cooking basket capacity: 4

The frying basket has a capacity of 3.2 liters (3.4 quarts), which, translated to a language everybody can understand, is about four to six drumsticks, or a couple of large potatoes, or half a dozen bananas (for scale). All jokes aside, there are some wonderful Cuban recipes for fried bananas that are to die for!

In other words, you could probably get two to three servings at a time out of this unassuming fella.

Temperature control: 5

As the majority of airfryers, the Cozyna features two knobs. The upper one controls the temperature setting and there are four markings to help you orientate – 176°F, 248°F, 320°F and 392°F, but the knob allows you to set your own custom temperature.

The other knob, as you might’ve guessed, is the built-in timer, which allows you to set it for half an hour. It may seem a hassle if you have something that requires more time to be done, but most fried dishes are crispy in less than 20 minutes. For example, fries out of this pupster are done in 15 to 20 minutes, depending how crispy you want them.

Versatility: 5

There are four things you can do with this little fella – fry, cook, bake and roast. Given it covers a temp range that goes up to 392°F (about 200°C, give or take) and has the ability to tackle both frozen and fresh foodstuffs, calling it versatile would be an understatement.

The Cozyna Air Fryer requires, on average, less than 70% of oil than your average day regular fryer, meaning great taste with more than 70% less guilt.

Safety & build quality: 5

The fryer is dishwasher-safe, making cleaning all the easier. It doesn’t heat up on the exterior, and it won’t heat up your kitchen. The casing Is made of durable, heat-resistant plastic, and it’s stylish to boot.

You can enjoy peace of mind while experimenting with this bad boy, due to the 30-day trial period. If you’re not satisfied with the fryer after this period (you will be, worry not), you can get your money back, no strings attached.

Additional perks: 3

The Cozyina Air Fryer comes with two e-books with more than fifty recipes in them, allowing you to take to experimenting right out of the box. The recipes contain a wide variety of recipes, from the plain ole fries and fried chicken to the exotic (at least to Westerners) Thai mushrooms and chicken meatballs.

Pros and cons

Good stuff:
  • Particularly well-suited for frozen food
  • Super easy to clean
  • Doesn’t take up much space
  • E-books are a definite plus
Not-so-good stuff:
  • Small payload
  • Non-stick coating on the frying basket seems sub-par
